The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have announced that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023 will be conducted in May 2023. The application process for the exam will begin in September 2023, and the exam will be held online. The JEE Advanced 2023 will be the gateway for admission into the undergraduate engineering programs offered by the IITs.

Eligibility Requirement
To be eligible for JEE Advanced, a candidate must satisfy the following criteria:
- Performance in JEE Main: Candidates must first qualify for JEE Main and rank among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in Paper 1.
- Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 5 years, i.e., they should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
- A number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
- Academic Qualification: Candidates should have passed their Class 12th board examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in either 2021 or 2022. Those who are appearing in the Class 12th board examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply.
- Minimum marks in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination: Candidates should have scored at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates) in their Class 12th board examination or any equivalent qualifying examination.
- Subject combination: Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their Class 12th board examination or any equivalent qualifying examination.
