The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has announced the opening of online registration for Class 6 admissions in Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) for the academic year 2024-25. The registration process will begin on June 19, 2023, and will close on August 10, 2023.
Students who are born between May 1, 2012, and July 31, 2014, are eligible to apply for admission. The JNVST 2024 exam will be held in two phases, on November 4, 2023, and January 20, 2024. The admit cards for the exam will be released in September 2023.
The application form can be filled out online at the NVS website, navodaya.gov.in. There is not any application fee for any category student.
The NVS is a network of 661 schools spread across the country. The schools offer high-quality education to students from all backgrounds. The admission process is based on merit, and the JNVST exam is the only mode of selection.

NVS Class 6th Admission 2023 Document Required
The following documents are required for NVS Class 6th Admission 2023:
- Proof of date of birth: This could be a birth certificate, an Aadhaar card, or any other document that shows the date of birth of the candidate.
- Proof of eligibility: This could be a certificate from the school that the candidate is currently studying in or any other document that shows that the candidate meets the eligibility criteria for NVS Class 6th Admission.
- Residential certificate: This is a document that shows that the candidate is a permanent resident of the district where the JNV is located.
- Marksheet of Class 5th: This is the mark sheet of the Class 5th examination that the candidate has passed.
- Signature of parent/guardian: The signature of the parent or guardian of the candidate.
- Photograph of the candidate: The photograph of the candidate should be recent and should be in JPG format.
The documents can be uploaded in soft copy while filling the application form. The size of the documents should be between 10 to 100 KB.
