Junior Residents will be posted in various medical colleges including PMCH Patna, DMCH Darbhanga, ANMMCH Gaya, and other district hospitals. The monthly stipend is approximately Rs. 65,000/- along with free accommodation and meal facilities in many institutions.

What is the Role of a Junior Resident?

Junior Residents work under the guidance of senior doctors and consultants. They are responsible for patient care, assisting in surgeries, managing OPDs, and maintaining medical records. The position provides hands-on clinical experience which is invaluable for MD/MS preparation or practicing independently later.

Selection Process for BCECEB JR 2026

The selection is entirely merit-based:

• Merit Calculation: 80% weightage given to MBBS aggregate marks (Part I + Part II + Part III).
• Online Registration: Candidates register with MBBS marks and upload documents.
• Merit List: Board publishes category-wise merit list.
• Online Counseling: Candidates select their preferred colleges/departments during the counseling process starting from 11 February 2026.
• Document Verification: Conducted at the time of joining the allotted college.

Important Requirements

Candidates must have completed their Compulsory Rotatory Internship (CRRI) or must complete it before joining. They must also possess a valid Medical Registration Certificate from the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.
