State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has released a massive recruitment notification for 2,972 vacancies in the Forest Department. The posts include Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable, and others. This is one of the largest recruitment drives in Assam for 10th and 12th pass candidates who wish to serve in the protection of wildlife and environment.

Assam Forest Department Recruitment 2026: Comprehensive Details

The recruitment aims to strengthen the protection force in National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries across Assam, including Kaziranga and Manas. The job offers adventure, stability, and a chance to contribute to nature conservation.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Forester Grade-I: Higher Secondary (10+2) or Degree.
• Forest Guard: Higher Secondary (10+2) passed.
• AFPF Constable: HSLC (Class 10) passed.
• Driver Constable: HSLC passed with valid LMV/MMV/HMV license.

Physical Standards Test (PST) & Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates must meet rigorous physical standards.
Height: Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC: 163 cm (Male), 150 cm (Female).
Chest (Male): 79 cm (Normal) + 5 cm Expansion.

PET Details:
- Male: 3200 meters race in 14 minutes + Long Jump (335 cm).
- Female: 1600 meters race in 8 minutes + Long Jump (244 cm).

Selection Procedure

The merit list will be prepared based on:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - 40 Marks
2. Written Test - 50 Marks (General Knowledge, English, Math, Assam History)
3. NCC/Sports/Extra-curricular - 10 Marks
